Our Design Methodology
Discovery
The kickoff is much more than simply "get acquainted", we quickly begin a deep inquiry into your current situation and intended roadmap. Oftentimes there are important tactical concerns that we can quickly tackle before embarking upon the larger initiatives, otherwise we're ready to dig in.
We begin by asking questions: What are the core problems to solve and what are we delivering? What kind of focus or emphasis must we place and where? What are the most critical business objectives and how do we measure success?
Definition
The definition stage is where ideas and requirements identified in Discovery are aligned to business objectives. It's main purpose is to define the boundaries within which design can provide a solution. Close alignment of our project plan with client expectations is critical to project success, and helps to mitigate any miscommunication along the way. Definition ends with a clear articulation of the problems and a plan for solving them.
Design
The design stage is where solutions begin to take shape. The challenge is to correctly assemble the proper mixture of creativity and practicality to pull it off. You can expect excitement, a bit of suspense and a lot of fun while we navigate this phase of the project.
During Design, concepts are prototyped, iterated, evaluated and reiterated to allow for the rapid maturation of a solution. With each iteration, concepts evolve from low-fiedelity prototypes to clearly defined and proven design solutions ready for production.
Development
Once we’ve nailed the concept, its time to plan its execution. The development stage is where shaping ends and baking begins. With the finalized design and feature specifications in hand, we begin the actual construction process and the project becomes a tangible reality.
Delivery
The delivery stage is where the resulting product or services is finalized and handed off to the client for integration or launch in the relevant market. Our presence doesn't necessarily have to end here... We're always willing to extend our availability during this critical time of integration and launch. |
